I'm not sure there are many things better than homemade breads. The smells that fill your house as the bread is rising and when it's cooking are just irresistible and there's nothing like tasting fresh bread still warm from the oven or skillet. These little beauties sure didn't last long when I made them this week while visiting my family in Michigan. We had hummus, baba ganoush, and tzatziki to go along and while eating them, we spent about 10 minutes discussing the perfect combinations to pair with the pitas. One of my favorite ideas that I really must try next time I make them is to spread avocado on top with a sunny-side up egg. Unfortunately, they didn't last long enough to try any of these ideas. Next time, I'd definitely double the recipe because 8 pitas doesn't cut it when you have 14 people in your family! What would your ideal pita topper be?
